In the cosmic dance between the sun and the moon, eclipses are the mysterious ballets that invite us to witness celestial awe. In Origen Raíz del Espíritu, in collaboration with the Solare Ristorante restaurant, we immerse ourselves in the astronomical journey of being witness to the fleeting magic of a solar eclipse.
Why is a solar eclipse so fascinating?
This is a spectacular and relatively rare event that occurs when the Moon, in its orbit around the Earth, aligns precisely between the Sun and our planet, partially or completely blocking sunlight. This phenomenon creates an intriguing play of shadows on Earth.
In cooperation with the mathematician and astronomical expert Randy Schmerik and his son Tom Scmerik, on behalf of the Solare Ristorante restaurant, and Mr. Bildo Saravia, representing the Origen Raíz del Espíritu team, we organized this phenomenal adventure.
Our journey began on April 6th with the welcome of Mr. Randy and 60 guests who traveled from San Diego, California, to experience this wonderful event. Our guests enjoyed a welcome cocktail at the Hotel Gobernador, located in the city of Durango, Dgo., and later moved to “Rancho Las Yucas” and continued with this festive reception.
The celebration continued on Sunday the 7th at “Rancho El Ojo”, birthplace of Origen Raíz del Espíritu, where our visitors were able to enjoy a camping experience and traditional food from the region.
Finally, our adventure culminated on April 8 in La Laguna de Santiaguillo, Durango, Dgo. This was the perfect setting to admire such a wonderful and unique phenomenon as a solor eciplse. During this event, our guests savored typical regional food, drinks, live music, and the excitement of this cosmic phonomenon guided by our expert in cosmic phnomena.
